Fishing Florida Radio with Boodreaux – Steve Chapman – Capt. Mike Ortego
Saturdays, 7-9am
After becoming a fixture in Central Florida radio for years, the inimitable Fishing Florida Radio has come to South Florida – and has it been needed! A real break from the traditional, commercial-laden fishing shows, selling charter trips and promoting marinas, this one is highly entertaining and just as informative. In fact, it’s kind of like a Saturday morning Zoo!
Fishing Florida Radio helps anglers learn more about the outdoors and what’s new and biting in the area. Sure, plenty of on-water reports, plus Patrick Sebile, creator of the Sebile lures and recent IGFA honoree, Discovery Channel’s “Swamp Brothers,” The Hillstrand Brothers from “Deadliest Catch,” … Jeremy Wade of River Monsters, and 2012 Bass Master Champ Chris Lane, to name just a few.
Host Boodreaux is a Baton Rouge native, with nearly 20 years of radio experience and life-long fishing. Boo’s the author of “Cajun Creole Seafood Delights Cookbook,” and creator of BD’s Cajun Rocket Fuel Hot Sauce!
Captain Mike Ortego, fisherman extraordinaire, knows just about all there is to know about in-shore and near-shore fishing. He grew up in the Keys, and has been a top fishing guide as well as inventor of numerous fishing tools and aids, including the popular Tackle Webs Suspension Storage System.
Meanwhile, Steve Chapman, Michigan-born, has been fishing for years before coming to Florida – from the Keys to British Columbia and the out West, this life-long angler says he believes in “C P R: Catch, Photo, and Release,” while his graphic designs are on fishing guide sites, ads and brochures for marine-related companies world-wide.
Catch “Fishing Florida Radio” – more fun, more information, more reasons to start your weekend on the water right here: every Saturday, from 7-9am….. could be the listener’s best catch of the day!
