The St. Louis Rams and the refs gave Miami all it could handle.

I would have liked to see the Fins take advantage of a couple of fumbles that were just waiting to be taken, but overall a win is a win, as they say.

The brightest spot in this game, which saw a lack of a Miami running game and a lack of being able to stop the run, had to be Ryan Tannehill.  The rookie quarterback continues to grow, and get better.

His passer rating hit above 100 and was his best as a pro.  He threw no INTs for the second game in a row and third of the season.

You may have already heard this stat, but in the 3 games when Tannehill did not turn the ball over, the Dolphins won.  In the 3 games the team lost, he did give up the ball.

We can all talk about whether Tanny is the best rookie QB this season, I'm saying no, but he sure is good.  He seems to have that poise you look for and I continue to be impressed that he is almost always smiling.

I did not see that from Rams "franchise" quarterback Sam Bradford.  In fact, pausing the DVR a couple of times it looked like he had that "deer in the headlights look".  I noticed that especially right after the sack by Miami rookie Olivier Vernon.

It looks as though young Tannehill is simply going out there and having fun, while making all of his doubters eat dirt.

So, the bye week is upon us and the Jets await the Dolphins next in New Jersey.  All of the teams in the AFC East division have the same record, 3-3, though the NFL has the Fins ranked as 4th.

Miami has only played one team in the division once, the New York Jets, and lost.  They still have two games against the Patriots and Bills, along with a second one against the Jets.

In my opinion, after watching 6 games this season, 9-7 is very possible, but I'm still guessing 8-8 when all is said and done.
